Professional athlete training
Professional athlete training programme is focused primarily on the specifics of each sport. Body asymmetries and habitual positions can lead to muscle contracture, and this can have a negative effect on posture, joint position and movement, precision, efficiency, speed, functionality, and overall success. In order to prevent injuries, instructors must recognize these dysfunctions and select appropriate strengthening and stability exercises, and include active stretching of the previously diagnosed short muscles. Muscle weaknesses result in instability and asymmetry which affects the athlete's execution of movements.
Treatment of professional athletes
Every athlete is individually assessed in terms of postural alignment, muscle shortness, and disbalances. The assessment is followed by learning the basic principles of muscle re-education. Unique training programmes are created on the basis of the specific characteristics of each athlete and the corresponding sports discipline. We utilize different methods including muscle and connective tissue release techniques, to achieve the best results and increase the athlete's potential. The first part of the training always targets the individual's muscle weaknesses which were proven to develop in athletes who focus more on strength training and asymmetrical muscle loading and neglect the importance of symmetrical training and muscle flexibility.
