Orientation session

Before starting any group or private (post-rehabilitation) class, you are required to complete a private or semi-private orientation session. The first orientation session is a pre-requisite for every individual who has not trained with us previously and wants to join our group classes. After the orientation session, you will receive directions about the type of class best suited for you. Use of socks is required.

You can go through one STOTT PILATES orientation session where you will learn about STOTT's five basic principles, increase your body awareness and get a postural analysis from one of our experienced instructors. For a more in-depth analysis of your postural specifics and of the Pilates method on the Reformer machine, we invite you to take three individual introductory sessions that will enable you to join our group Reformer classes.

You can go through one GYROTONIC introductory session where you will become acquainted with the basic movements of the spine, the breathing technique, and proper intermuscular coordination while learning the basic exercises on the Pulley tower. A package of three Gyrotonic introductory sessions will give you greater confidence when handling the machine, and a better control over your body while doing more complex movement patterns in a safe, pain-free range of motion. Coordination-wise, Gyrotonic is an advanced technique that requires a more detailed insight which you can receive in a set of three sessions.

We offer you a package of three introductory sessions which combine both, STOTT PILATES and the Gyrotonic method. In the first session, you will be introduced to the five basic principles of safe and effective exercise. The second session will focus on the benefits of training on the Reformer machine. You will learn how to handle the machine safely and experience your first workout on the Reformer. In your last session, you will get to know about the Gyrotonic method, and the basic movements of the spine while learning the technique's fundamental exercises on the Pulley Tower.

You can go through the orientation session process only once. We recommend you take the three sessions in a ten-day period for a more efficient outcome. The orientation session is a pre-requisite for anyone that has not trained with us before, regardless of your previous knowledge of any movement method. In case one year has passed since your first introductory session, we invite you to renew your knowledge and check your progress.
